Anoli shah

Nestled in the heart of Mumbai, Anoli Shah’s flagship store is a breathtaking fusion of tradition and modernity, reflecting the designer’s signature aesthetic. Featured in Architectural Digest (AD), the space is a masterclass in retail interiors that is an ‘amalgamation of tradition and modern design motifs’ that blend heritage with contemporary sophistication

Shaded grey walls, a signature of her flagship lineage, provide a neutral yet rich canvas that allows the opulence of the store’s elements to shine. Overhead, eclectic gold-finished dome lamps, casting a warm glow. Accessories and furniture sourced from Ahmedabad’s traditional markets infuse heritage into the space.

Garments hang from gilded rods lined with brass sconces, reminiscent of Gujarat’s grand temples. When illuminated, the store is bathed in a soft golden hue, highlighting the colour’s deep significance in Anoli’s design philosophy. The seating area, framed by a deep crimson backdrop acts as a focal point, features whimsical artefacts and antique cane furniture from Anoli’s 100-year-old family home. Pendant lights and intricate wood carvings add to its charm.

Designed in a zig-zag layout, the store unfolds like a journey—casual wear at the entrance, couture lehengas at the back, with intimate seating nooks in between. This spatial choreography ensures an immersive retail experience, where every turn unveils a new facet of Anoli Shah’s world. Antique brass artefacts, old doors, and wooden accents frame the space, while natural light streaming through glass windows offers a tranquil escape from Mumbai’s bustling streets.

In this sanctuary of style and heritage, shoppers are transported into a world where fashion, history, and craftsmanship seamlessly converge.
